Can I use the veterinarian of my choice?

Yes, holders of PetCare Pet Insurance Program’s insurance policies can use the veterinarian of their choice. They make payment directly to the veterinarian and once the claim has been approved, PetCare Pet Insurance Programs reimburse the policyholder directly. PetCare Pet Insurance Programs will respond to 98% of all claims within 5 business days upon receipt of the claim.

What are my payment options?

Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards are accepted at our call center for annual or monthly payments. Currently, Visa and MasterCard are the credit cards accepted for online applications. Check and money order are accepted for annual or monthly payments.

How much are the deductibles?

You pay a $50 deductible (unless otherwise noted) per event regardless of the number of trips you need to make to the veterinarian. This deductible remains constant for as long as your pet insurance policy is in force.

How does the claim reimbursement process work?

Mail or fax in a completed one page claim form completed by yourself and your attending veterinarian along with the detailed receipts. Fill out a claim form. Once the veterinarian has been approved, PetCare Pet Insurance Programs reimburse the policyholder directly.

How do policyholders make a claim?

Policyholders should mail or fax in the one page claim form that they will receive with their policy package. This claim form should be completed by the policyholder and the attending veterinarian and sent with the original receipts. Policyholders may call our friendly customer care department for information about their claim at any time.

Can policyholders use any veterinarian?

Yes. We believe that pets should receive the care their owners want them to have, not the care we say they can have. Whether the policyholder chooses to provide traditional veterinary care or homeopathic veterinary care to their pet, is only dependent up personal choice. We work on a reimbursement system, this means the policyholder pays the veterinarian and we then reimburse the policyholder (minus your deductible).
